Success without joy isn’t sustainable.

I’ve spent decades working with students, faculty, and professionals, and I’ve seen how easily capable people can get caught up in the pressure to perform and keep moving forward.

I believe you can work hard, pursue ambitious goals, and face difficult challenges without sacrificing your joy.

MY STORY

My path wasn’t a straight line.

For more than 20 years, I worked at Cornell University in teaching, faculty development, program leadership, coaching, instructional design, and consulting.

But my own path has been anything but conventional. From corporate work and entrepreneurship to technology consulting and commercial fishing in Alaska, each chapter taught me something about resilience, change, and creating a life that feels like your own.

WHY JOY?

Joy is meant to be part of our lives.

Joy is at the heart of my work. I believe you can care deeply, work hard, face difficult things, and experience joy at the same time.

We’ve come to accept that meaningful work means being under pressure, pushing through, and holding it all together. I don’t believe it has to be that way. My mission is to help people discover that achievement does not have to come at the cost of joy.

COMMUNITY & CONNECTION

Giving back is part of how I find joy.

I believe connection matters, and giving back is one of the ways I practice that belief.

I support organizations, small businesses, and community groups that make a difference, locally and around the world.

TIME, TALENT & RESOURCES

I give my time, energy, and financial support to causes and people who inspire me.

ACCESS TO COACHING

When possible, I offer sliding-scale coaching and scholarships to make my work more accessible.
