Success Without Joy Is Not Sustainable
I’ve spent decades in high-pressure academic and leadership environments, supporting students, learners, academics, and professionals in achieving ambitious goals, and along the way, I’ve seen how easily capable, driven people disconnect from themselves in the pursuit of success.
Achievement alone is not the problem, disconnection is.
Joy, as I define it, is clarity, alignment, and self-trust, it strengthens your ability to think clearly, make better decisions, and perform well, whether you’re preparing for college, navigating higher education, leading in academia, or making a career transition.
Friends often ask, “Did you do that too?” My journey has been diverse and full of rich experiences, I spent more than 20 years at Cornell University as a senior lecturer, program director, associate director of a teaching center, faculty developer, coach, instructional designer, and consultant, and my career has also included corporate work, entrepreneurship, and unique experiences like commercial fishing in Alaska and advising businesses on technology.
Despite professional success, I struggled with workaholism, boundary-setting, and people-pleasing, stress was a constant companion, and toxic environments only amplified those challenges, leaving that behind, I embarked on a healing journey, discovering that life’s toughest moments often hold the greatest opportunities for growth, clarity, and joy.
As a Joy Coach and Positive Intelligence Coach, I now help students, learners, academics, and professionals strengthen mental fitness, reduce stress, and cultivate clarity and purpose, my approach is holistic, grounded, and practical, shaped by decades of diverse experience.
You can build a life and career aligned with your values, strengths, and vision.
I’m excited to partner with you on your journey to a joyful and fulfilling life, let’s chart your future together.
